To Nap or Not to Nap

Me and my boy going out.

He feel asleep while eating....that was a first!

He fell asleep on our walk... finally! This rarely happens he usually waits until I am home and put him in his crib to sleep. But the walk makes him sleep right away usually. He is so quiet in the stroller.

It seems like he falls asleep a lot.... I wish. My boy is like me. He doesn't take little cat naps. He takes a nap in the morning after waking and eating and then another longer one around noon, then... well he's up. He gets tired and I want to encourage him taking a nap, but no, he rubs his eyes now and then and just keeps going and going untill 7 30pm. At least from there he sleeps until 7:30am, which is great, but when the evening comes for me, mama is tired!

He insists on holding the spoon to eat, and does a good job. Today I looked at him and I'm sure he had the prunes and apricots I mixed for him going up his nose. It seems like it's always time for a snack or some milk and he drinks his water too. Oh well at least he's eating well..kind of, can't help but to make those messes.

Khaled says Congrats Danielle for making it into that school for teaching. You will make a fantastic teacher!

Vaccinations

The little Mr. went for vaccinations today. It was like the last time, he cries at the last one (there was 3) because the nurse tells me it's the one that stings, we give him a bottle and he stops right away and drinks the bottle. After we went to the grocery store where he is a popular with some people that work there, so if someone stops to talk to him, oh wow, he is all smiles! Khaled is sleeping right now.
The next one will be mid December! He will be a year old and it's a good stretch without vaccinations, that is nice.
Hatem and I are hopelessly proud parents of course and just think he does so well.
It's at a health care clinic and usually they time the appointments so well that you are the only one there and you hardly have to wait. At least that's been my experience so far. You really have to appreciate these things.
Usually he does not have any problems with fever or fussiness, and hardly a mark from the needle. Lets hope it's always like that. Because even with all well....it's not all that much fun.

That's the corner of the guinea pigs cage. Yes, we always have to share our spaces. Well it's for research, he was drawing guinea pigs for a whole day. Lucky for my that's not a hobbie it's for work.

Baba

Khaled has been saying bababab and mamam but in a way not so focused that I wouldn't call it official, if you know what I mean. I would say it's official now tonight, he sayed Baba. He was so focused, kind of like saying ba in a wisper and then..... Baba, only twice ba ba and very clear!
Congratulations Khaled! I see you're getting ready for father's day.

7 Months

Khaled is 7 months today! What can I say, the pictures tell it all. I thought I had a lot to write but I forget or it seems like something really exciting at the time and now I'm just tired haha.

What I want to say is.... Happy Birthday Aunt Sunita! Also congratulations on your last and final exam Eman! Good luck on that presentation and then... that is it... you did it!

I wanted Lou to stop laying down on the chairs because she was leaving all her fur on them. So I put a bed on a table... why must the pets rule the house? Well she was very happy with this idea.

Hello Doctor

He's a happy healthy 18 pound boy at 6 and a half months. There was no concerns, nothing much to report and that's good. Dr. Athar sayed he had strong legs, I sayed it's from all the jumping he likes to do. He rolls himself from back to stomac and stomac to back in much less time now. He is so hyper and excited today! You can really see the changes everyday. I'm suprised he likes every food so far, just gets mad to have the spoon, so I give him the spoon, in his mouth it goes and we make good messes. He's even tried asparagus with rice cereal yesturday and today. I've noticed he gets super playful sometimes when he is sleepy now. If you catch him at the right time he doses off to sleep so well. He lays in his crib sometimes for a whole hour in the mornings happy blabbing to himself. After a while enough is enough he cries and fusses and then happy again to see mama or baba and sometimes both.
