Strong!

The first day of spring was Mothers day in Egypt. I don't know why we don't have it like that here, it's a beautiful concept... I guess they want it on a Sunday so no work here. Anyway Happy Mothers Day Egyptian  Moms and..... to you Samia... Love you so much!
Today, the 24 of March, marks a year that my grandma passed away, I always liked this way of the east to celebrate our ancestors. So many things stay with me about her and still she guides me in life. So, today I wanted to not just take pictures of Khaled, but focus on taking the best pictures I could at that moment. I'm happy with how they turned out and because I was thinking of my grandma, they will always be for her (thinking of her) and for us in turn to enjoy.
Today, also, Khaled and I took a walk to the corner of the street reaching the stop sign, and then back. He walked on the sidewalk all the way and all the way back, as I help the back of his jacket with my finger. When he got inside the house he said a loud, hey, of laughter! So cute.

Sunday

New teeth coming in the back, one is just peeking out and you can feel it, on the other side you feel it just about to come. You can tell it bothers him and makes him tired and bothers his sleep, but he is in a good mood. He's growing so tall and reaches everything. He can even open a door and today he locked it!

Feed The Dog

Khaled & May

We keep Mays food in that green container. The other day I was letting him walk around the grocery store and following him. He walked to the pet food isle and was so happy to see kitties and dogs on all the stuff. He pointed at this green container that has a cat on it and he says something like kotta... I guess a mix between chat, cat and otta .. or he just speaks the formal arabic qetta. We saw some kids at the mosque today, it was a day off because messy weather. Probably going to the library tomorrow to leave the glass beside the doors all printed with little hands haha. I think the passport application will be sent Monday or early in the week. Time for tickets soon. Wow... I'm already thinking I'm going to cry to see you all...sigh.. haha.. I can't help it. Khaled is sleeping right now, we stayed a good little while at my dads and moms after the mosque.
Oh the basement should be done by next friday (maybe a little earlier who knows).

The Train

Hmmmm... I had this series of videos of Khaled and May, but they were taken high quality and they are, I am guessing, too big to put here. Or at least I tried but after a very long time still didn't work. Oh well, I will try to put something still everyday until Sunday. Khaled took pictures for his passport, me too. See you soon Egypt! I really can't wait to see you all. The guy, Martin, working for the basement reno, offered to take care of May for the 3 weeks we are in Egypt, wow what a relief, Martin is very nice, I hope May would be well behaved. You know it's a big worry the little pet family. I think my dad would take care of the rest. I feel VERY lucky. Khaled I know you love our pets.  There, it just posted a high quality video but it is really short (still I like this one). When the little car goes not straight he stopped and straightened it out. Hahaha.. I just looked at the video and thought ... this is really not very much, but anyway

Week Of Videos

Ok, I know it's been a while for me not posting things. So let me make it up, everyday for the week, I will at least post a video or a couple and some pics maybe. But at least a video. I just downloaded what I had on my camera and there was lots. We've been playing with May a lot and there's really cute ones there. Khaled really does have a funny baby talk, sometimes I think his name helps with that. Kh-aled, he makes the first sound of his name it's so cute. He also almost says go when playing with his ball, get down, because when the dogs see something to bark at, May gets on the window ledge and Joaquim get on the back of the sofa and look outside at the menacing threat and bark...followed by me or Hatem or now Khaled saying get down. The dogs will bark at old women passing, a dog passing, a sound, you get the idea. hmmmm ... I'm having trouble uploading some videos...I think they can't be too long.
