Rub A Dub Dub

Rub a dub dub, one little Khaled in the tub.

I bought that little plastic tub at walmart and put non skid things on the bottom. Does the trick. It supports his back and also I don't have to fill the bath with water (save a bit on water I suppose). Mostly just keeps him in one spot to splish splash with his toys.

He can also hold on to the sides like this :)

Hangning out with my toys.

Favorite toy in the stroller, no matter how many I crowd him with, the belt string.

The sun is in my eyes Mama....

Take two, that's better and I have the belt of my strolers buckle, what could be better

Hello Lil And Sue

Joaquim makes a nice buddy!
Lou working with Hatem. Ah work is nice!

Wonderful visit from Lil and Sue. (Lil is Tee's Mom, he is married to my cousin Danielle)

Tell me a story Lil! Look at Baba working in his office.

We have moments like these when visitors are not around. See it to believe it, haha.

Those are good fingers, I've tasted them.

My farmer, Mr. Khaled

Khaled is being much better at picking up little cubes of foods and bringning it to his mouth. We also heard a Mama from him a couple times and he seems to be trying to get it out as mama but it goes more like Baba or just mute hihihi. He's getting to where he wants to go with determination, by rolling and pulling himself a little with his hands. He seems to want to try to use his knees but we are not at that stage yet. He likes his hands full with toys, one in each, and of course hit them together.

Colourful Dreams

Before the weekend we had a nice visit of my father's cousins, with kids and my grandma's sister, Angélique. But before all my talks I will report almost live coverage, with a little delay, of what's going on. I just picked up Khaled out of his crib a little after 10 pm, yes he was sleeping, gave a little ran down the street to see a nice display of fireworks. We get a perfect view, but Khaled was more interested in the people than the fireworks, yet he was not scared once at the bangs in the air. Maybe thanks to Danielle and T ( I wont't get into that story :) He is absolutly wonderful, I ran back home, put him in his crib and not one fuss, off to sleep right away! SO CUTE! He really must be thinking, well that was a very vivid colourful dream.
Mr. Khaled was not so impressed with our drive back from Saint John. He was fussy and wanted out of this car seat. Might be two reasons for this, first he likes to take his nap early in the day and we were driving back after 3 pm (his time of action haha), or enough of driving in the car Mama and Baba. But Hatem sat back there with him at times, we had a couple short stops and little walks and we made it home not too bad at all.
We went to herd the rest of our family, meaning we drove to my parents to get May and Joaquim. So happy to hear that they were very well behaved and nice to see my father in a good mood and the dogs happy.
We leave for one night and suddenly I find myself in a car so full, with a little dog in a little green cage, a big dog in the back end of the vehicle, the 3 humans, an extra baby gate for the dogs, food, luggage, diapers, a little shelving thing in iron we bought for the house, a couple toys, blankets and so on. It's not quite get up and go lifestyle haha. Lou was happy at our arrival too. It's nice to be loved.
So as for Saturday, we had a lovely dinner with family. Thanks for all the good food, how lucky are we?! And I still feel so full, yet I keep eating haha oh no. There was even a balloon sent to Stan by a sweet little Alex (you understand me Stef ). My cousins Denis and Jacques got to meet Khaled for the first time and Khaled got to hang out with the boys.
Luckily enough see you soon Sue and Danielle & T and even Lil! Oh, and Stef I will remind Khaled about your plans to bring him to the pool and of course Mama will be there too.
Thanks for Everything Everyone!

Give A Little Whistle

I know I haven't been posting as much but it's coming. It's summer and I'm on walks with Khaled or May, sometimes both and sometimes Joaquim. Khaled also is an excellent sleeper...but at night, so he's up a lot of the day. I will be posting new videos and pictures but not tonight. The Little Peanut is on a summer time schedule.
I asked Hatem today ... did you just whistle? Well apparently, if he knows it or not, Khaled has been giving little whistles, and quite a few of them. Making lots of oooooo sounds.
I also think I should lower the base of the crib because little mister is getting stonger and stronger.
Yikes it's a long night for us, Khaled is not sleeping and it's 10pm, but I think we are so close to having a sleeping little boy.
Of course if the date is the 14th of July, then Khaled is 8 months old!

High & Low

We bought a high chair! I like it soooo much. Plus, it was on sale 40$ less and we had a 50$ gift certificate from the store that someone had given us months back (waiting for the right thing to buy haha:) I had an eye on this chair and when the sale was on...we got it.
While Khaled got a high chair, we will be focusing on the bottom of the house, the foundadtion. We have a crack that needs a professional to look at and we will take it from there.

Khaled fell asleep in the car, still holding his hat :)
